Brands Hatch - Round 1

Brands was the first race of the season. Ant had high expectations and was looking forward to his first race in the clio cup.

However it did not go to plan and a bad qualifying session on Saturday morning left Ant with a lot to do in the qualification race later that afternoon. He managed to jump from 22nd on the grid to 17th by the end of lap 4. For the remaining 4 laps Ant looked for a way past Jim Edwards Snr but the veteran managed to fend him off and keep him at bay even though Ant's lap times were quicker.

This meant Ant missed out on Sundays point scoring race by one position. All in all a disappointing weekend but Ant put it down to experience and vowed to improve his qualifying to make life easier for him in the races in the coming season.
